On a high building/structure on high ground in the centre of the polygon if using an omnidirectional antenna or maybe towards one edge of the polygon if using a directional antenna. Of course if the polygon is not roughly a circle or contains hills then maybe multiple sites will be needed.
London North SSDAB uses 6 sites, 3 of these sites were used for the original London SSDAB trial so some of these now have directional antennas so they don't radiate into South or West London anymore.
