Hi Rob.
The Air 2000 is a good design, I set up a Community station, with two 2000, and a studio Switcher
I like the idea of Each studio comes up in the other, I only did one way, on a fader in the other room

The desk itself is quite reliable, what fails is the Power Supply box, which runs quite hot
Its a good idea to give the power supply box, a bit a space, above and below for ventilation
as heat build up and dries out the Capacitors, and causes Hum (usually on PFL for some strange reason)
Even Alice found the Power supply box was cooking, and later versions had extra holes in the covers

The "A" series Alice not bad, especially the later version with VCA Faders, but not as good as the 2000

Other desks like the Sonifex S2, its the desk channels themselves that fail due to heat build up

I sent for Bob Noakes book, brilliant a real insight, did not know he was part of the takeover attempt
