I used to commute halfway across Essex in the car around 2008, and I used to love listening to Mike Read's mid morning show on Big L 1395. I liked his mix of some well known (but also some less played) oldies tracks, mixed in with some new stuff. Likewise, similar coming back in the evening, but I can't remember who was on at that time. I remember they had to close the transmitter between 1900-2200 to avoid interference with (I think) an Albanian transmitter. They also had their own chart on Friday nights which was a must listen. As 2005 nostalgia says, a good time to be alive! It was a great station.
