The shortwave transmission was as has been stated elsewhere in this thread had nothing to do with the raid. The sole objective was to end Dutch language offshore radio once and for all. The boarders were even at the beginning intending to leave Caroline 558 on air and just silence 819 but they were overruled by their superiors on land in the Netherlands
