May I suggest that you visit the Anticsonline website? Antics aim to have up to 2000, miniature ship models in stock and I aim to have about 500, 1/1250 and 1/1200 models with me at a UK ship show. On average, customers spend £20 at my stand of all those attending the show....
Now for the cost of attending the show: ....put it this way; it costs me more to attend the show than it costs a customer (table fee, fuel for van, overnight accommodation) ....
Looking at the Kassel photographs, I can only see one person from the UK. Four of the stall holders are model makers, not dealers, so they can make money, making and selling.
