Very sad news. Rudi was the most famous producer of 1/1250 scale, miniature ship models and set standards with his models that most model makers could only aspire to. Many of the the innovations in small scale ship modelling have come from Navis Neptun over more than 60 years and the Navis Neptun company produced models of over 1000 different ships during that time. In recent years, some of the names of the designers and master model makers appeared on the underside of the castings but all of the production models were unmistakeably in the Navis Neptune style.
