Here in the colonies if you wanted real beer, you drank imports and the real Guiness never made it to us.
My favorites were:
Sam Smith (very, very expensive)
Bass Ale
Monks Hof (since 1633) (had to get on a wait list for the Dunkel, took 4 years before I was notified that it was my turn). Beer distributor got between 5 and 10 cases of the Dunkel, approximately 100 to 150 cases of the Lager per year.
