14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that – and shudder. ~James 2
The academic provides us with nothing more than the verbal diarrhea of those who dwell in a world of words, whereas actions that address real needs manifests the presence of The Spirit, alive in all who sacrifice for the needs of those in need.
Our choices consign us into a life that rewards us with all that we elect, there being none but we who choose to sow, and reap our due.
The creative foundation of Catholicism is discoverable when we sacrifice our time, energy, and everything that is needed to assist those in need of our practical help...leaving the academically driven observers of human life to spend their life discussing all that excites their perceived need to pass judgement.
For those of us who are much more spiritually inspired there is a growing realisation that God leads us where He wants us to go...
Self awareness is an on-going process of knowing who we are through the guidance of divine inspiration leading us to implement The Father's plan for our life.
Self denial is the foundation of all that serves the common good, lest we forget that self sacrifice commits each of us to place the needs of others...before our wants.
"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."~John 7:38
