Very reluctant sale of this much loved pony who now needs a new jockey to show the ropes to. Sky is suitable for pretty much any rider and simply changes gear depending upon ability. Over the years she’s competed in games, polocrosse, showjumping (carrying her rider in), etc. I believe she’s even driven in the past. She’s easy to do in pretty much every way. Good in traffic, with farrier, vet, dentist, load, etc. My 6yr old daughter took her to a jumping clinic the first week we had her and she behaved impeccably. She’s got a very scopey jump (my 10yr old son jumped her 95cm at home, just playing about) and she didn’t even look like she was trying. She’s done pony club activites including mini and main camp with an 8yr old. Willing and can cover the ground when asked but not fizzy and steps back down a gear when asked. Snaffle mouthed. Can be handled by young children at home including novice friends (obviously with supervision!), sometimes gets slightly fidgety at shows when companions leave trailer but fine once mounted. Very few bad points which basically consist of: impatient at feed time so best fed first to save the gate; can be ridden out alone or infront, however best following as can be extremely stubborn when she sees something she doesn’t like; will test a new novice rider by stopping at gate but easily ridden through with a little determination, even by a 6yr old; doesn’t like a heavy rider (ie me!!), so I would not recommend for a mother/ daughter share unless small and light! She’s really a fun pony for someone who wants to get out, play & do some competing.
Sky is a grey (blue but easy to clean!), mare and 19years young with much more to give. She is a real gem, the easiest pony I’ve ever had to catch and always comes to the gate with a smile on her face! I often find my kids sitting on her in the middle of the field.
