previous discussion she was NOT getting vaccinated. Today when I told her that Bill and I will not be attending because although we are vaccinated there are MANY not vaccinated and not wearing a mask. Hell we went to a funeral home in Trump land last night and Bill and I were the only two with a mask on and the place was PACKED! Hell half of them were in shorts and a tee shirt! I don't think I have seen that before at a funeral home.
ANYWHO...the classmate told me that she will not be told what to do and if the Biden administration knocks on her door to tell her she has to be vaccinated she will still refuse.
She stated, "I'm protecting myself the way I see fit..if no one likes my decision, oh well. My conscience is clear, I can sleep at night".

I told her we are told all the time what we can and can't do for the greater good of society. We cannot speed, shoot someone, smoke around others, and in medicine we protect each other with vaccinations. This virus has killed over 1/2 million people in the US alone. I told her I get vaccinated every year at work as it is mandatory. I do it to protect our elderly and more susceptible patients. It is about protecting each other again a virus that has killed and will continue to kill. It will continue to mutate and spread because that is what virus's do!
I told her to take care of herself and we will just have to agree to disagree. She responded that she agrees with my last statement.
You cannot fix uneducated people. SAD
