club house with a small, but appreciated theater. the ceiling is low, so the stage lights are tricky, but we have concerts in there, both amateur, and hired entertainers. Of course it's been closed for a year. I work with audio/visual to film events so they can go on our in house channel.
Well now they think they can open it up. full capacity is 400+. forget the exact number. they want to hold a town hall in a few weeks to discuss wasting more money on golf course irrigation and remodeling. San Diego is about to be in the tier where things can open at 50% capacity. that means 200 chairs in a room that is elbow to elbow at 400 chairs. low ceilings, old HVAC, refusal to keep the side doors open. Masks required, but no vaccine requirements, and no way 200 people can be 6' apart indoor!!!!!
Have I mentioned that nearly half the people are republicans??? who knows how many are NOT getting vaccinated. I know of some.

So I am afraid to be in there and may have to refuse to help. but I AM the video chief. Meaning I work the switcher and direct 2-3 other people on cameras. I don't even want to invite any of our volunteers to come work the cameras!!

We have been having all our meetings on zoom, which is working really well, but ONE Master Board Member wants to present in front of live people to sell his audience on spending tons of money for HIS golf game. Hence they are probably going to grant him this.

I am just really upset. I have already lobbied for opening the dam doors!!! and spending some money on in duct UV scrubbers that can kill, rather than recycle , the virus. Our systems are too old and weak to handle HEPA filters.

I think it might be time to move. These people are idiots
