my mother's apartment and the next door neighbor's apartment caught fire due to an electrical fire in the wall of her bedroom. She woke up to smoke filling her apartment and got out. We picked her up at her other neighbor's house in her pajamas and rob. She literally had only the clothes on her back. She is 95 and has memory problems but this Thanksgiving I am greatful she is alive. The story from that day to this day is long and involved. Will share it with you all someday but my Mother now lives in Indiana in her own apartment down the street from my oldest brother. I miss her terribly but was out voted. She is no longer down the street from me here in Virginia and my heart is broken but I am dealing with it and am more thankful for other things like she is still on this earth. Please have a wonderful holiday together with family or friends. Tom and I are having a Thanksgiving dinner for just us.....the day, each day, is what I make it and I plan on making it GREAT!
