the last court date was July 20th (last Friday) and the judge extended the protective order through July 20, 2020 or another two years. He can appeal it but only has ten days in which to do so. He has to continue to pay all bills and the mortgage for another two years which to me is stupid and going to mount a bunch of attorney's fees. He is pretty slow on the uptake so we shall see what he and his attorney decide. As for my sister, she is still broken hearted that a relationship of thirty years could not be saved. She is keeping busy with her job and taking care of Oliver. She gets terribly lonely at times but when she thinks of the alternative of him being there with his abuse she gets strong again. As for me I am just trying not to internalize it all and take it on as my problem. Many sleepless nights for me because it's a lot easier said than done. I wish I could shut down my brain at times.
