It has been awhile.
I am applying for the National Rex Rabbit Club Newsletter Editor position. I will know in the next couple of months if I get it. It is down to two of us, who have to design the next issue and send to the board members and the directors for their voting. The winner will be the issue submitted that is published.

Back in that really bad cold snap of neg temps we had sierra's checkered giant froze his ears. After posting on facebook b###hing about the weather someone called animal control. The lady officer is a great gal, she is the only one that is allowed to come here as she is not "friends or acquainted with rosie quinn (hurley dog breeder illegal raid). She had no issues with the rabbit and looked him over, she learned some things about rabbits and I told her anytime they need help with rabbit related issues to contact me. He is doing fine, lost half his one ear (no longer showable) and has a sprain on a front leg (may be broke but we have it wrapped for the most part - he is a total ass about his feet and legs messed with - I wear more blue kote then him when we have used it).

Sierra and I attended the big rabbit show here in town on the 27th of Jan. One of the equipment dealers always donates a stacker cage to the youth. Sierra as entered these drawings at every show that Joe is donating at. After 4 years lol she finally won one (and it was sorely needed). Pics of the stacker and with sierra and Joe.

Sierra also earned a leg toward grand champion (have to wait to be sure it is official once show reports come back) with her Broken Amber Sr rex doe Dakota Winds Brienne with a Best of Variety and Best Opposite Sex for Youth Show A under judge Josh Underberg:


The final numbers from that show have come out and there were 2,849 entries so around 1,400 rabbits or so shown, the largest East River Rabbit Breeders Association Jan Farm Show to date per Ruby (club president). It is always nice when you go with 6 rabbits and only come home with 4 lol.
