You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
When we are distressed to breaking point by anything external our suffering is not due to the dilemma facing us, but to our estimation of its power to destroy us; yet this we have the wisdom to revoke when we choose to respond with the awareness that God's help is at hand.
In the midst of our troubles we often fail to notice, and understand that it is those moments filled with anxiety that our plate is being filled to overflowing with sufficient help to satisfy our thirst for God's assistance unfolding silently to address our every need.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.~2 Corinthians 12:9
The divine presence intervenes with a passion for all His children who in our moments of total hopelessness turn to Him when all seems lost. The present is the only time in which Our Father provides us with the remedy to that which is causing us so much agony, fulfilling His desire that we should approach Him for help knowing that He will furnish us with all that we need to surpass our painful plight.
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.~Deuteronomy 31:8
Wow.. that really "spoke" to me (and consoled me).. in my current difficult circumstances. God bless you and thanks!
