I quote:
Shine like lights in the world
as you hold on to the word of life
end quote
In our relationship with the Divine Presence, living in our life we are invited to trust His counselling in all matters, even when our sense of entitlement is challenged by Our Father's request to share with another, or others a hefty portion of our assets, sufficient to understand that we will asked to sacrifice something of great value.
Here exists a dilemma for many of us assume that, that which we have worked hard for to accumulate is the result of our efforts, therefore should rightly be used by us to serve our choices.
Our Father asks us to understand that He provides us with all that we presume to believe is the result of our efforts.
The Father will according to His timing call us, by our name
inviting us to become His outreach into the lives of those whom He introduces to us,
to help when their needs cry out to God for His assistance.
Words praising God are totally inadequate should we not evidence our love for Our Father, by our actions proving our worthiness as His child. Our Father will always reciprocate in kind by supplying us with all that we will ever need to carry out all that we have promised Our Father.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus,
how he himself said, 'it is more blessed to give than to receive.' ~ Acts 20:35
a short scene from Jesus of Nazareth 1977
Jesus teaching The Pharisees that our actions should match our words:
