I quote:
Your ways, O LORD, make known to me;
teach me your paths,
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior
end quote
Today's readings focus on our promise to The Father, to do all that He asks of us. Giving our word, and then reneging on our vow by refusing to carry out that which we have pledged we will do, registers an untrustworthy person in the eyes of Our Father.
Our Father's Covenant with His children invites us, of our own free will to become His outreach into the lives of people, who by perceived chance enter our orbit seeking our assistance.
The Covenant with Our Father is freely entered into by us, whereby we respond to The Father's invitation to abide by His Word alive in our life, carrying out all that is asked of us. Our Father will always reciprocate by honoring His promises, providing us with all that we will ever need to deliver on our promises. Divine Providence is always at hand intervening in our life when ever we are ready to deliver on that which we have promised to Our Father.
3 A dream comes when there are many cares, and many words mark the speech of a fool.
4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
5 It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.
6 Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands?
7 Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore fear God.
