I quote:
The Lord is near to all who call upon him.
The LORD is just in all his ways
and holy in all his works.
The LORD is near to all who call upon him,
to all who call upon him in truth.

Simon Peter's question:
Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?” ~ Matthew 19:27
Jesus replied to Peter with the parable of the workers in the vineyard, metaphor for the Kingdom of Heaven.
The owner of the vineyard whose decision to pay all the workers the same wage, what ever time in the day the workers were called to work in the vineyard was an act of compassionate generosity, not injustice represents Our Father intervention in our life whose grace, and mercy are showered abundantly upon those of His choosing.
“For he says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’ ~ Romans 9:15
Whether Our Father invites us to become His worker early, or late in life thereby partaking of His grace is His, and His alone, and in no way amounts to unfairness.
Today's parable informs us that the vineyard owner has a right to do what he wishes with his money.
The Father also has the right to have mercy on those whom He will have mercy.
Our Father is faithful to us, rewarding us for our service per His promises personally delivered to us.
How Our Father rewards others should be of no consequence to us, nor should it influence our free choice to do all that He asks of us.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”~ Matthew 11:28-30
