“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
~ Lamentations 3:25-26
When next we believe that Our Father has not responded to our pleas for His assistance it is wise to listen to the counselling flowing out of our heart encouraging us to remain patient, and faithful by following the advice bubbling into our thoughts.
“ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11-12
Over many years I have learned that my plans, my dreams reflect my wishes to dictate to God all that I believe serves my best interest.
Our Father replies that He knows best, what is good for our well being when inviting us to let Him lead us through our journey of self discovery constructing a much more rewarding life filled with His design for our welfare.
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
~ 2 Peter 3
