Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
On our journey of self discovery we learn that there are no magical remedies to the challenges facing each, and every human person.
It helps that we follow the counselling seeding into our thoughts, inviting us to follow His way of dealing with those issues driving us into a state of high anxiety.
In those periods when despair endeavours to gain the upper hand it is constructive, even fruitful to ask Our Father for His help in resolving all that is reducing us to tears.
Then he taught me, and he said to me,
Take hold of my words with all your heart;
keep my commands, and you will live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have get understanding
~ Proverbs 4
The Prophet Joseph underwent a life time of trials, and tribulations including being sold into slavery by his brothers, and imprisonment.
Joseph remained faithful to God with the understanding that his difficult circumstances enabled The Father to provide Joseph with all that he needed to be the outreach of Our Father into the lives of those needing His help.
Here's a link to a film (1995) made on the life of the Prophet Joseph demonstrating that with God's guidance Joseph was able to patiently, negotiate his way through the overwhelming difficulties that he faced, eventually becoming the Pharaoh's administrator of Egypt.
