I quote:
But the Lord is faithful;
he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
We are confident of you in the Lord that what we instruct you,you are doing and will continue to do.

Today's readings address resurrection into new life, following death of the flesh.
I shall remain brief with my recollection of my Uncle William's passing, some twenty years ago.
"Willy" was terminal the result of being a heavy smoker, moved to a hospice in my home town receiving visits daily from my sisters.
It was a beautiful September evening when I chose to watch my football team on television. At exactly 10 pm the referee blew his whistle and the game commenced. At that precise moment an orb of bright light appeared in my line of sight blocking my view of the television screen. Two messages seeded into my conscious awareness. I have passed over, and an apology for a misunderstanding when visiting my uncle William some several years earlier. A phone call to a sister remained unanswered, likewise the following morning. My sister telephoned me the following evening to inform me that "Willy" had died the previous evening.
I have no appetite to dwell on the metaphysical with an understanding that what will be, is for time to reveal. That I under went an experience evidencing survival, following death of a close relative might well suggest that resurrection into new life is very much a reality.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” ~ John 14:1-3
