Bertrand Russell argues that even the idea of discussing certainty is a waste of ones time, when recognising that certainty on any given matter is an academic exercise lacking credibility...giving rise to doubt, important to those of us trusting that God will deliver on His promises.
Here lies the dilemma for the faithful person is predictably filled with doubt when waiting upon God's promise to be enacted into their life.
The cynical observer may argue that in the realm of possibilities there is an awarenss that when waiting with patience, there is a more than even chance that our rewards are granted to us during the waiting period leading to the delivery of the promise. Here we are also aware that God's timing, and our own are often not in sync. We expect here, and now. Our Father invites us to journey with Him learning all that He is teaching us, when anticipating all that The Father has promised us.
Trust in God's promises is a daily exercise in faithfulness,
whereby we are blessed with Our Father's guidance in all matters leading us through our life's journey of self discovery.
God is always faithful to His promises, but He often surprises us in the way He fulfills them.
~ Pope Benedict XVI
