I quote:
Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
May he not suffer your foot to slip;
may he slumber not who guards you:
indeed he neither slumbers nor sleeps,

Today's readings teach us that when we seek assistance from Our Father,
He provides us with all that we will need to shepherd us through our life's distressing periods when we do all that He asks of us.
“You need not cry very loud: He is nearer to us than we think.” ~ Brother Lawrence
I've experienced moments, days when my fears have driven me to quit on the overwhelming counselling leading me to remain patient with my current difficult circumstances. Time, after time despite my impatience I remained faithful to that advice pouring into my conscious awareness imploring me to stay the course.
The Prophet Job's tribulations often led him to angry, bitter exchanges with The Father complaining why he was on the receiving end of so much perceived punishment. Job would learn through experience walking the road of hard knocks that his circumstances were training him to remain loyal to his faith in God. Job's trust in God's Word would after many years reward him with all that The Father had promised Him.
“The more we know Him, the more we will desire to know Him.
As love increases with knowledge, the more we know God, the more we will truly love Him.
We will learn to love Him equally in times of distress or in times of great joy.”
~ Brother Lawrence
