It was under the tutelage of Rabbi Gamaliel that Paul of Tarsus developed an expert knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures. Paul’s educational and professional credentials allowed him to preach in the synagogues wherever he travelled, and his grasp of Old Testament history and law aided his presentation of Jesus Christ as the One who had fulfilled the Law (Matthew 5:17).
Paul's Damascus Road experience opened his eyes, ears, and heart to another reality that of The Risen Christ speaking to him, asking him to stop persecuting His followers...the so called Nazarenes subject to torture, and execution for being followers of The Christ. (viz. Stephen)
Knowledge is a valuable tool enabling each of us to be the outcome of our accumulation of knowledge, when combined with understanding born out of our life's experiences. Wisdom is never an academic exercise, rather the result of learning from those experiences that open our eyes to life's teaching lessons. Paul of Tarsus renounced all thought that our relationship with God depended upon knowledge, per Scriptural rules, and regulations. Paul acknowledged, the result of his experience walking the road to Damascus, that The Saviour leads us through our life when we accept His invitation to show us His way through our life.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." ~ Philippians 4:13
“Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience. You need experience to gain wisdom.” ~ Albert Einstein
