So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand ~ Isaiah 41:10
I am often asked what is the first step towards remedying the troubles reducing us to a shivering wreck? Acknowledging our responsibility, accepting the blame for the position that is driving us into deep despair. We need to look into the bathroom mirror with a view of a person needing to accept the truth of our circumstances, rather than blame another for the mess in which we are right, and truly responsible for.
Our Father invites us to live in the truth, by embracing all the wrongs that we have committed serving our self interest. Apologising to Our Father begins the healing process, then to listen too, and act on the counselling pouring into our conscious awareness asking us to do all that He asks of us...according to His timing.
Our Father will respond with loving care for all who approach Him asking for His practical intervention, towards resolving their long standing troubles. No exceptions for all have sinned. Those apportioning fault are themselves guilty, predictably refusing to accept that they also have sinned.
Sin is simply self destructive behaviour, freely chosen, and acted upon.
Accepting responsibility for our decisions enables Our Father to enter into our presence releasing us from our self imposed cell of hopelessness. That step into a humble state of mind rewards those who come to terms with their need to own up to the error of their ways. Humility is that step into the unknown reaches of our future life, representing our decision to acknowledge our imperfect self, concealed behind the image we display to deceive.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
~ James 1:2-5
