Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Patience is that quality enabling us to bear with the trials, and tribulations daily knocking at our door demanding our immediate attention.
The road of hard knocks teaches us that time, and patience rewards us with the remedies growing us into wiser, and more skilful wayfarers well able to cope with all that life sends us to endure life's passage.
Those moments when our intuitive self provides us with the answer to a dilemma overwhelming our capacity to resolve, teaches us that a pattern is emerging into our conscious awareness, as if a loving presence at our side is conducting us through our life's storms into calmer waters.
At the gate of patience there is no overcrowding, merely an understanding that we are being guided through our daily dilemmas by a kindly friend, inviting us to let Him shepherd us until the completion of our life's journey.
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.” ~ Hebrews 10-36
Scripture informs us that there is a time for everything, including the resolution of that long, ongoing dilemma causing so much anguish. With this in mind we daily learn that our growing resilience, provides us with the patience necessary to understand that God's timing, and his inspirational interventions in our life are purposeful, rewarding us with the experience accumulated walking the road of hard knocks, otherwise known to the mature traveller as "putting on the armour of God."
“Patience is the companion of wisdom.” ~ Augustine of Hippo
