Way, way back in my primary school days reading my parent's Sunday newspaper, I was inspired to read a very long article on the life of Padre Pio recently deceased. I was impressed by the monk's healing powers, rather than his words for he was a poor speaker, and his writing skills were negligible. Padre Pio was born into an impoverished family, growing up in a rural environment where sufficiency in the basics was considered a divine blessing.
Padre Pio and his fellow community brothers did not spend their time cloistered, devoting much of their life visiting families in dire need of practical assistance how best to cope with their impoverishment including finding work for those hungry to work to pay the rent, and pay for life's necessities.
With his God given gifts Padre Pio was able to provide help for those seeking his assistance to heal their wounds, and to provide for their families.
You do not write your life with words. . . You write it with actions. What you think is not important. It is only important what you do.
~ Patrick Ness
It would be amiss of me were I not to mention Mother Teresa, an Albanian nun who left her convent in Italy in 1948 traveling alone to Calcutta to assist the hungry, homeless, sick, and dying. Mother Teresa made it crystal clear that she was being guided by The Father, allowing Him to lead her through His plans for her new life in Calcutta revealing His programme for her life.
When we surrender our life into the care of Our Father we reveal His presence in our life, becoming His life affirming outreach into the lives of those He introduces to us.
When we accept Our Father's invitation to sow seeds in His fields, we reap a harvest filled with the joy He grants us, celebrating our purpose filled life with actions confirming us as Our Father's most beloved child.
Well done is better than well said ~ Benjamin Franklin
