I quote:
I am the living bread that came down from heaven, says the Lord;
whoever eats this bread will live forever
end quote
Jesus tells us that He is the Bread of Heaven provided by Our Father, to feed us on our journey through life.
Good nutrition maintains us in good health, enabling us to do all that Our Father's purpose for our life...requires of us.
The feeding of the five thousand reflects Our Father's joy ensuring that each, and every person who dines at His banqueting table wants for nothing, with our plate overflowing sufficient for us to share with those seated next to us at Our Father's dining table, waiting for us to pass our excess onto them.
The Eucharistic celebration teaches us that Our Father feeds us, encouraging us to follow Our Saviour's example, when feeding those who by apparent chance appear in our life seeking our practical assistance.
The Holy Eucharist is the living presence of the divine mystery alive in our life, feeding us with all that we will ever need to provide for our well being. When communing with Our Father our life reflects His desire to lead us through the ebbs, and flows of our life's journey.
God does not change; he is Love, ever and always.
In himself, he is communion, unity in Trinity, and all his words and works are directed to communion.
~ Pope Benedict XVI
