Do Not Worry
…33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own
Worrisome moments unsettle us sufficient to ruin our day. What to do? Don't let your thoughts control you.
Wise sages tell us that the mind obsessed with thoughts of what may, or may not happen for the worst can drive us out of our mind.
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” ~ 1 Peter 5:7
I was approached by our district nurse asking for guidance, how best to cope with her work overload weighing heavily on her capacity to cope. I replied that I mediate for one, to two hours each morning.
I rise at 6 am permitting me sufficient time before my regular duties commence at 8.
Simple daily meditative practice asking Our Father for His intervention, and guidance guarantees couselling leading us out of anxious moments into resolving all that is troubling us. At the same time every day begin that dialogue with Our Father. The results will encourage more, and more dialogue. Our chats with our Heavenly Father need not assume a formal structure knowing that He listens to our every thought, merely asking us to listen too, and act on His wise advice.
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8
