For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
Waiting on Our Father to deliver His promises into our life is the daily awareness that our faith in Him is being proven by our free choice to do all that He asks of us, while waiting in anticipation of all that is being provided to sustain us while waiting on God.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.
And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. ~ Ezekiel 36:26
Patiently waiting on Our Father to deliver all that He has promised us, includes the growing understanding that we are being transformed into the person best able to respond to Our Father's call, to let Him show us how we should live our life.
to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. ~ Ephesians 4:22-24
Over the centuries wise sages inform us that patience is that virtue born, and daily sustained out of our commitment to self improvement. It is when the going becomes arduous, overwhelming our capacity to cope that we begin to recognise a helpful voice speaking to us from within our thoughts, guiding us through our troubles into calmer waters. In other words it is during those long difficult periods in our life that our trust in God's leadership is tested, sufficiently to grow our endurance into another day.
For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.
So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal ~ 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
