God’s Word stands as an oasis in a desert of what we may perceive to be our failures having made effort, after effort to achieve our goal we discover what appears to be nothing more than a mirage flickering in the distance further, and further away.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
Over many years I have had the pleasure of listening to my fellow travellers in great detail tell me about those dreams that appear towards the end of their night...leading to a dawn filled with fresh aspirations...being guided by wise counselling from within their internal earshot, how best to enact into their life those aspirations that todate had eluded them.
Surrendering our life into the care of The Saviour requires us to do much more than embrace sound advice on how best to realise a particular objective. In exchange The Father will ask much of us. That reciprocation is the evidence of a loving relationship founded upon serving Our Father's requests to become His outreach into the lives of those He introduces to us...to assist.
Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.
~ Ephesians 3:20
How then can we retain our individual human character, when also becoming the servant of The Most High?
I am Your servant; give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
~ Psalm 119:125
The human ego can, and does enslave each of us when we freely choose to follow our own self serving path through life.
Our Father liberates us from our self imposed slavery, to follow His plan for our life's well being.
Our Father grants each of us free will to decide our fate.
As we sow, so shall we reap.
Proverbs 8
32 “Now then, my children, listen to me;
blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;
do not disregard it.
34 Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
35 For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord.
36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
all who hate me love death.”
