1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
During stressful times there is an easy willingness to lash out, blaming anyone within our earshot for all of our life's difficulties. The blame game stops with us when we choose to take command of the trials facing us as if to say, here's your chance to prove to yourself, and your family that ones words must yield to actions remedying all that needs fixing.
A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence. ~Jim Watkins
Persistence in pursuing our goals is our investment in dealing with our life's struggles, generating sufficient encouragement never to surrender to the thought, that our estimate of the time it takes to secure victory, should ever enter into our efforts that we know will guarantee us a successful conclusion to those dreams driving us beyond any thought that we should capitulate to our fear of failing.
God's Spirit will intervene and guide us through our struggles, providing us with the appropriate counselling how best to execute, and complete the task facing us attempting to persuade us that we cannot succeed. Asking Our Father for His assistance each, and every day we rise from our bed will reward us with all the help we can expect from our greatest friend.
In the realm of ideas everything depends on enthusiasm... in the real world all rests on perseverance. ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
