Wise sages tell us that we should live our life one day at a time. There being an awareness that our here, and now is all we have to live.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” ~ Matthew 6:34
Hearing, and listening to the word of Our Saviour speaking to us from within our thoughts, guiding us through the challenges that each of us faces every day, is our opportunity to do all that He asks of us, enabling us to resolve all, and every trial that knocks on our door.
The school of hard knocks is an accelerated curriculum. ~ Menander
The school of hard knocks never provides books, even lacking a blackboard sufficient to understand that the prospect of being knocked over, and being obliged to begin all over again rapidly teaches its pupils the value of humility, and resilience in the face of our life sculpting us to a predetermined design. Along with those bitter lessons a subtle interior whisper guides us through our daily trials, with the enthusiasm and embrace of our greatest friend. Those of us who learn from our life's bitter lessons, quickly grasp the hand of The One reaching out to shepherd us through our journey of self discovery.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! ~ Matthew 7:7-11
Our Father will provide us with all our needs, and more asking us to share our good fortune with those He ushers into our orbit placed at His banquet table, seated next to us waiting for our plate to pass our excess to them.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith in God can only be revealed through our experiences walking the road of life's teaching tutorials, learned with the understanding that our humility opens a door for Our Saviour to enter our life showing us His way to walk until our life's story has been completed.
“The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us.” ~ C. S. Lewis
