Hardly less important is the capacity to see others as they see themselves.” ― Aldous Huxley
The doors of perception open to us a life filled with all that our senses inform us is reality. Gut instinct is believed to be based upon our life's experiences, often at odds with the evidence confronting us. A seasoned detective will spend time in silence pondering upon the evidence appearing before him in a crime scene before taking another step. The detective will move carefully sifting the crime scene evidence through his thoughts, building a picture of what he believes occurred. From those early conclusions the investigator will move with caution, knowing well from experience that appearances can be deceptive.
There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact. ~ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Self deception often leads the crusader for justice along a path where they see all that they want to see, and hear all that they want to hear. Sufficient to say, that they convince themself that their journey of self discovery reveals all that they knew they would discover.
“One believes things because one has been conditioned to believe them.” ~ Aldous Huxley
Our Father invites us to dispense with our world view, by letting Him reveal to us a life worth our time living to die for. Here lies the dilemma for we are asked to sacrifice our life into Our Father's safe keeping. In other words we are welcomed into His life filled with all that He has planned for our journey of growing self awareness. Divine Wisdom has His way of ensuring that we are granted sight, hearing, and understanding beyond the limitations imposed by our senses. Embracing this call to faith in God requires self sacrifice, a renouncing of our own life's agenda. With growing confidence the volunteer gradually enters into the life of The Spirit of God with the enthusiasm of one born to sup at Our Father's heavenly banquet.
The Way of The Saviour is open to all.
And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way;
even if they are fools, they shall not go astray ~ Isaiah 35:8
