I quote:
The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.
But there are some of you who do not believe.
Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe
and the one who would betray him.
And he said,
For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me
unless it is granted him by my Father
end quote
Our human nature encourages each of us to rely on everything but the Spirit of God to journey our way through our life. Most of us respond to the inherent nature of human kind to seek security through money, and material possessions. The idea that divine salvation is the free gift of God through faith is difficult to grasp. Nevertheless most, if not all of us will from time, to time detect signs, even inklings evidencing the presence of another intelligent life, living within our own life inviting us to let Him guide us through our journey of self discovery. That internal presence will patiently win our trust in His wise counsel, teaching us what is not in our best interest, and how best to resolve the challenges facing us every day. The divine presence understands that our many doubts evidence our trust in Him. Our Saviour will move slowly, confidently encouraging us to grasp His hand, letting Him shepherd us through our life.
Our growing friendship with Our Saviour deepens our faith, the result of witnessing the rewards of our trust in The Spirit of God leading us along life's highways. Lead kindly light.
Living by faith includes the call to something greater than cowardly self-preservation. ~ J. R. R. Tolkien
