I quote:
The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.
end quote
The feeding of the five thousand with five barley loaves, and two fish with left overs abundant to feed many more, witnesses to the intervention of the divine mystery in our life providing for our well being. The cynic will rightly ask, why is there so much malnourishment, and hunger in plain sight of the many obese, even sick the result of consuming to gluttonous excess.
Divine Providence supplies our needs, inviting us to share our left overs, our excess with those who enter our orbit lacking basic necessities.
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” ~ Luke 6
The Father provides for our every need not just food, there being an awareness that our needs are not restricted to feeding the stomach.
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
~ 2 Corinthians 9:8
I quote:
Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry him off
to make him king,
he withdrew again to the mountain alone.
end quote
Our Saviour does not seek our adulation, merely inviting us to do all that He asks of us, with the example He has provided for our encouragement.
Divine Providence supplies us with all that we will need to enact into our life, the plan that Our Father grants to us, His reward for choosing to accept His invitation to be His outreach into the lives of people called into our presence.
