There are no deadlines against which he must work.
Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.”
~ A. W. Tozer
When at primary school I gradually learned that Aesop's fables introduced me to the understanding that the rhythms of life were shaping my responses to my life's daily challenges. The tortoise, and the hare tale taught me that we can achieve our objectives by implementing our plans slowly, and steadily than by acting quickly possibly leading to careless actions.
I purposefully use the word rhythms with an awareness that orchestras tune-in to the music they are playing. with the musicians understanding that each instrument has its own notes to render, thereby achieving the harmony anticipated by the composer of the opus.
Jig-saw puzzles remain a jumble of colorful pieces in a variety of sizes, until they are pieced together to reveal the completed picture. Fitting together the pieces facing us may appear overwhelming when not being able to see the finished picture per the presentation box. Such is our life's story waiting for us to reveal its presence in our life, when we choose to trust the author of our life's journey to take our hand leading us to piece together our story of self discovery, according to His timing when all will be revealed.
Our Father understands that we need time learning to trust Him, asking us never to become zealous in pursuit of our relationship with Him.
There will be times when Our Father tests our faith in Him, asking us to trust Him to shepherd us out of periods when one hardship, appears to follow another. Our deepening trust in God enables us to weather those storms that attempt to blow us off course, knowing that at our side we are protected, and guided by the architect of our journey through time.
