When the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
they took palm branches and went out to meet him, and cried out:
“Hosanna!

Jesus well understood that within a week of His triumphal entry into Jerusalem He would be crucified, the result of the members of The Sanhedrin fearing that their power over the people of Israel would be compromised by one Jesus of Nazareth.
