Over the centuries spiritual sages inform us that there is only now, the present moment to be all that we can become.
“Be happy in the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.” — Mother Teresa
Jesus addressed our free choice to invest in our life with His parable of the sower. As we sow, so shall we reap:

It's often said that a pessimistic outlook on life encourages us to be much more enterprising dealing with our more difficult moments, when our life appears to deal us a poor hand of cards. On the other hand it is also recognised by those who have walked that difficult mile, there is much to be learned when choosing to face our troubles with a determination to defeat all thought of surrendering to our fear, that we will fail to resolve the dilemma challenging our patience to endure.
Those precious quiet moments when we choose to discuss our problems with Our Saviour will provide the faithful person with a determination to endure, understanding that the remedy for all that ails us is simply a matter of implementing all that Our Father asks of us.
As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. ~ James 5:11
