Those who trust in him will understand truth,
and the faithful will abide with him in love,
because grace and mercy are upon his holy ones,
and he watches over his elect.
Relationships that prosper are the result of trust emerging into the daily interactions between friends, reciprocating with the awareness that the covenant between God, and His children is a life long journey of self giving thereby encouraging a deepening friendship bonded in trust.
Because he is found by those who do not test him, and manifests himself to those who do not disbelieve him ~ Wisdom 1:2
Over the centuries the wise have learnt from practical experience that they had to reach the bottom of a slimy pit filled with despair with no where to turn too, when they began to listen to a voice whispering to them from within their thoughts asking them to let Him show them the way out of their anguish.
I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. ~ Psalm 40:1-2
In moments of high anxiety, when alone it is very easy for us to converse with our innermost thoughts, as if to believe that some one is listening. The reply from within our conscious awareness can be enlightening, even providing us with the remedy to the dilemma that led us to speak in confidence with our greatest friend.
When we begin to understand that the wisdom emerging from within our thoughts is not a solitary episode, but an ongoing dialogue encouraging us to be mindful that our friend will ask us to reciprocate in kind, there begins a life affirming friendship fed by love.
The Covenant between God, and His children ensures that all that will be asked of us will be underwritten by Divine Providence.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
~ Hebrews 13:20-21
