The trees in your orchard say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture.
They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish.” — Kahlil Gibran
The above quotation from The Prophet illustrates the invitation of Our Father to share our good fortune, with those whose needs are often concealed to shield them from embarrassment.
Khalil Gibran uses poetic symbolism to remind us that our free choice to share our benefits with others in need, is fertile land where we sow the seeds of our own future well being a harvest of sufficiency sprouting season, after season enabling us to continue sharing all that Divine Providence supplies to us to feed those sent to us to share in Our Father's benevolence, His gift to us to provide for those who by design enter our life.
“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one.” — Mother Teresa
Divine Wisdom has her way of introducing us to her life by asking us to dwell at her side, as a family member sitting at her table filled with all that supplies us with sufficiency to overflowing onto our lap sealed to be shared with guests sitting alongside us.
Divine Providence furnishes us with all that we will ever need to implement The Father's plan placing us in position to feed all He sends to us, becoming His outreach into the lives of the needy human person seeking our heart filled assistance.
Sirach 14
20 Happy is the person who meditates on
wisdom and reasons intelligently,
21 who reflects in his heart on her ways
and ponders her secrets,
22 pursuing her like a hunter,
and lying in wait on her paths;
23 who peers through her windows
and listens at her doors;
24 who camps near her house
and fastens his tent-peg to her walls;
25 who pitches his tent near her,
and so occupies an excellent lodging-place;
26 who places his children under her shelter,
and lodges under her boughs;
27 who is sheltered by her from the heat,
and dwells in the midst of her glory.
