The Sermon on the mount has registered its vital contribution with those of us who acknowledge that Jesus of Nazareth concerns Himself with the day, to day issues affecting every human person setting the tone for His mission to encourage people to live with respect for one another by assisting those who are in need of help that we can offer them.
From my perspective The Beatitudes is a clearly enunciated policy statement inviting the listener to become the change, that they expect to see in the behaviour of others. In other words don't wait for others, set the example that others may follow.
God's children are those who acknowledge, and implement Our Father's request to do all that He asks of us, with the awareness that Our Father equips us with all that we will need to become His outreach into the lives of those He sends to us to help.
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them
