22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness
Understanding filled with forgiveness for those who have failed us, seeds a harvest of plenty filled with promising new life for all who acknowledge our own failings, concealed out of fear that we may appear hypocritical when finger pointing.
Failure is never permanent for its impact upon our life is one of waking us up to the reality that we are also in need of self improvement, learning from our falls that none is perfect except our Heavenly Father.
But the man who is not afraid to admit everything that he sees to be wrong with himself, and yet recognizes that he may be the object of God's love precisely because of his shortcomings, can begin to be sincere. His sincerity is based on confidence, not in his own illusions about himself, but in the endless, unfailing mercy of God.
