"God will direct you, you will be able to endure" ...
During times of great stress there is a realisation that life can assume a heavy burden, more so for those confined to their homes by ongoing lock downs. I am often asked when Our Father will intervene to assist those living with no where to turn, resigned to facing their living room walls staring back at them day, after day. It is when we reach rock bottom that we begin to chat out loud, as if someone is listening. That someone encourages us to discuss our daily fears, and frustrations with Him.
“I will never fail you, nor forsake you.” ~ Hebrews 13:5
Our Father listens to our words with an awareness that we are seeking solutions to our weaknesses, and anger daily driving us to question, why me? Here lies the dilemma for millions of people around the globe coping with similar distressing circumstances not of their own making.
From my own experience choosing silence leads me to listen to my heart's advice guiding me out of periods of frustration, into an atmosphere saturated in peace, and quiet calming my nerves sufficiently to thrive on the benefits of meditation. Our tranquility begins to strengthen, followed by steadfastness providing the resilience that we will need to cope with each day, one day at a time.
Creating a daily habit of meditating at the same time in an atmosphere of silence is the optimum setting to begin our conversations with Our Heavenly Father, inviting each of us to approach Him when adversity becomes too much for us to bear.
“Patience is necessary in this life because so much of life is fraught with adversity. No matter how hard we try, our lives will never be without strife and grief. Thus, we should not strive for a peace that is without temptation, or for a life that never feels adversity. Peace is not found by escaping temptations, but by being tried by them. We will have discovered peace when we have been tried and come through the trial of temptation.” ~Thomas Kempis
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you ~ John 15:7
