6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Back in the mid 1950s I lived for a few months with my Welsh, great grandfather in Swansea, South Wales where I learnt that there was a protocol for all entering his home to visit. Peace be with you was the calling card for all entering the main door open all day, closed at night, never locked. There was nothing of value worth stealing.
Being at peace with oneself in times of great tribulation can be a rewarding gift for all who choose to place their faith in The Father's willingness to help, all who call upon His assistance when life appears to challenge the patience of many distressed by the ongoing lockdowns.
With prayer anxiety is extinguished, replaced by a deep feeling of being at peace, even an awareness that harmony has entered our life.
“Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.”― Padre Pio
Our Father is always listening whenever we make the effort to close off the noise, entering a room filled with silence where we may speak openly with The One enthusiastic to answer our prayer asking for His assistance, knowing that prayer is the oxygen of the soul.
Establish a daily habit speaking with The Eternal Father discussing those matters that are troubling you needing wise resolution.
The Father's inspiring guidance will flow into your conscious awareness that you will know you are conversing with The One who loves you with the heart that radiates His loving joy that you have approached Him for help during anxious times.
"Always live under the eyes of the Good Shepherd, and you will walk unharmed through evil pastures." ~ Padre Pio
