I quote:
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.

Belief in God is the precursor of faith in The One who leads us through our life's journey of self discovery.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who seek him. ~ Hebrews 11:6
Our senses encourage us to trust whatever they detect as real, as tangible, as rational for they satisfy the need of human life to believe all that fulfills our perceptions that we are experiencing reality; as we would understand.
A detective investigating a bank robbery interviewing ten bank customers who had witnessed the robbery, concluded that the testimonies of the customers agreed on one fact only, that there were three criminals. Otherwise, the witness statements varied considerably on the descriptions of the three bank robbers, and the sequence of events.
Perception is that awareness that human life sees all that it believes, it has experienced, or is experiencing.
In other words each of us views life according to our own very personal interpretation of events.
The rational person may well observe that personal experience is never the proving mechanism for what is reality.
Peer reviews of scientific research assists the sceptic to understand that the results of a researcher's findings should be tested to determine their validity.
Those who live by faith in God are always available to witness to their experiences.
1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold - though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
