I quote:
In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials,

Our faith in God should be proven through our deeds, evidencing our free choice to follow the call of The Saviour, shepherding us through our life that we may come to know Him as our most beloved friend.
“There are only two kinds of people: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’
and those to whom God says, ‘All right, then, have it your way.’” ~ C. S. Lewis
Our faith in God can never be evidenced by our words, alone.
Trust is another word evidencing our faith in Our Father's Word, inviting us to follow His path through our life's journey of self discovery.
Our friendship with another human person is never just a matter of words, or promises when understanding that there may well arrive a moment when we are obliged to honour our words, with actions that speak more loudly than any word can deliver to those needing our support.
14 My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don’t do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can that kind of faith save you? 15 If you know someone who doesn’t have any clothes or food, 16 you shouldn’t just say, “I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat.” What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? 17 Faith that doesn’t lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead!
18 Suppose someone disagrees and says, “It is possible to have faith without doing kind deeds.”
I would answer, “Prove that you have faith without doing kind deeds, and I will prove that I have faith by doing them.”
~ James 2
