end quote
That Jesus of Nazareth was born, lived, and died a Jew evidences Our Father's invitation to all, including those who identify as Christian, to follow Him. In other words labels are redundant when the way ahead is sign posted: My Way, or Your Way.
“There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.” ― C.S. Lewis
Jesus never distinguished between people, or their ethnic origins for He accepted the friendship of a Roman centurion, acknowledging the soldier's faith in His power to heal the centurion's sick servant without entering the Roman soldier's home to meet the servant.
But the gate to life is very narrow. The road that leads there is so hard to follow that only a few people find it. ~ Matthew 7:14
These words clearly demonstrate that it is our choices, not those of The Saviour that will determine our destiny; notwithstanding that Our Saviour remains at our side encouraging us to act on His advice each, and every day we rise to meet The Son, until we draw our last breath.
Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.
~ Apocalypse 3:20
Note that it is for us to open the door and invite The Saviour into our life. The divine presence will never force Himself into our life.
Matthew 8:5-13
Jesus Heals an Army Officer’s Servant
5 When Jesus was going into the town of Capernaum, an army officer came up to him and said, 6 “Lord, my servant is at home in such terrible pain that he can’t even move.”
7 “I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.
8 But the officer said, “Lord, I’m not good enough for you to come into my house. Just give the order, and my servant will get well. 9 I have officers who give orders to me, and I have soldiers who take orders from me. I can say to one of them, ‘Go!’ and he goes. I can say to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes. I can say to my servant, ‘Do this!’ and he will do it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was so surprised that he turned and said to the crowd following him, “I tell you that in all of Israel I’ve never found anyone with this much faith! 11 Many people will come from everywhere to enjoy the feast in the kingdom of heaven with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 12 But the ones who should have been in the kingdom will be thrown out into the dark. They will cry and grit their teeth in pain.”
13 Then Jesus said to the officer, “You may go home now. Your faith has made it happen.”
Right then his servant was healed.
Trust The Lord, thy God, and He will lead you beside still waters into eternal life.
