For Mel to wake up to your modus operandi, I mean, Faz. How many times, over the last many years, have I written something like this: "I see you like to take the contrary view to just about everything 'catholic'- that's fine, but using the subtle differences you twist meanings or opinions or attitudes around ..." [bolding and italics mine]
I notice that you haven't given John the benefit of your advice, Mel.
And I've noticed that John doesn't need my advice at all. He seems quiet capable, informed and intellectually honest to hold his ground. He delivers the authentic Catholic perceptive better than you or I.
I see you like to take the contrary view to just about everything 'catholic'- that's fine, but using the subtle differences you twist meanings or opinions or attitudes around without realizing that authentic Catholic teachings cannot change. Or, maybe you want to change our Catholic perspective because you do not approve of them and hold up Paul Collins as if he has something good to say. Well I hate to burst your bubble he has nothing to offer an orthodox catholic while his adherence to magisterial teachings are in question.
