Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Nihilism might well be the response of most people when faced with overwhelming odds evidencing disaster, a life filled with hopelessness abandoned by all that encourages each of us to rise from our bed to face the day, inviting us to live in hope of better things to come, when making the effort to construct a life worth living to die for.
I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. ~ Franz Kafka
Melancholy is a state of mind that concentrates the attention of the sad person on why matters have reached the stage where the player has become the focus of their entire attention, there being no other audience that can resolve their dilemma to be, or not to be alive to life's invitation to celebrate being alive.
Self imposed isolation is a benefit for it encourages the thinking processes to evaluate all that is on offer for those sufficiently courageous to want to live a purpose filled life filled with opportunities rewarding the believer with a life filled with better days.
Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them. ~ Albert Einstein
Liberation from our self imposed incarceration is the divine mystery's invitation to every human person, to let Him lead us out of our fear filled life, enabling the believer to enjoy all the rewards that The Father grants to those who trust Him to set us free.
Contentment is best appreciated when diluted with a dose of reality teaching the wise pupil that life's lessons are inclined to reward the resilient traveller with difficulties, fertile ground where growth cultivates a bountiful harvest filled with happiness encouraging seeding future harvests to be shared with those sent to us, that we may also serve at Our Father's banqueting table.
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
~ 2 Corinthians 9:10-15
